Kevin Plunkett developed this fold in the mid-1980s, which makes it one of the earliest named folds. The first few steps are identical to creating the wedge T-fold.

Tools & Materials

1 square piece of copper sheet, 80mm x 60mm, 0.3–0.5mm thick

Basic tool kit

Rolling mill

1. Anneal, pickle, rinse and dry the sheet metal.

2. Bend the piece of sheet loosely so that the two long edges come together.

3. Place the two long edges in a vice at an angle, leaving a soft loop shape extending above the vice at one end and the top of the loop level with the top of the vice at the other end.

4. Mallet down to create the triangular-shaped table as with a wedge T-fold.
